As its name clearly suggests, this tool is meant to help you create DVDs on your Windows system. Windows DVD Maker can not only create the actual DVDs, but also form ISO images, or DVD-holding folders. Anyway, when creating the DVDs, Windows DVD Maker takes care of every step of the process: from converting the videos to files suitable for being burned onto a multimedia disc to the actual burning part.
Windows DVD Maker can create multimedia DVDs from video files of a lot of formats, including AVI, MPEG, M2V, QT, MOV, MP4, M4V, WMV, ASF, 3GP, FLV, and many others. Furthermore, it allows loading subtitles to the movie DVD (up to 32 subtitle tracks are supported). Last but not least, various types of DVDs are supported, including DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-5, DVD-9, Mini DVD, Mini DVD DL.
I also like that this tool comes with the above average burning speed and a really easy-to-use interface. Though it looks rather outdated and comes with some spelling mistakes, the interface is straightforward and intuitive.
In conclusion, Windows DVD Maker is a nice DVD creation tool, worthy at least a try.
